"Trenton Mill Lofts is my favorite LMG project. It's an excellent example of using historic tax credits and a robust city partnership to transform a former mill space into beautifully designed and curated apartments close to downtown Gastonia. From an asset management perspective, it provides an opportunity not just to breathe life into a part of local history, but also to ensure the longevity and operational success of the community that now calls Trenton Mill home."
Director of Asset Management
Aidan McConnell leads Lansing Melbourne Group's asset management platform, with a focus on portfolio strategy, financial oversight, and performance optimization for assets ranging from new delivery multifamily to mixed-use adaptive reuse projects. In addition to core asset management priorities, Aidan is a Project Lead for public-private partnership development opportunities, particularly for mixed-income housing and primary use conversion projects.
Prior to his work at LMG, Aidan was responsible for overseeing Ascent Housing's $320 million portfolio of naturally occurring affordable housing (NOAH) communities in the Charlotte metropolitan area, as well as leading expansion efforts into new markets.
Aidan earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016 and completed his MBA with a real estate development concentration at UNC Kenan-Flagler in 2024. A Charlotte native, he lives in a historic bungalow in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood with his wife, Laura. Outside of work, he can be found playing jazz or rock percussion, practicing for ballroom dancing showcases, and exploring new coffee shops.
